The Company

In 1994 MIJ Leasing Associates was founded in Collingswood NJ. In 1998 the operations center relocated to South Carolina. MIJ Associates LLC now operates from its current offices located just outside Greenville, South Carolina. As a proud and active member of the National Association of Equipment Lease Brokers, MIJ has developed into an efficient and profitable small and middle ticket equipment leasing company.
After years of sales and leasing successes, MIJ has developed alliances with several banks and underwriting companies thus offering the most competitive rates and financing programs, in the business. With a “Hands On” approach to the processing, MIJ acts as your company’s leasing team and directs each transaction to the best source so as to meet your desired structure and rate. Their professional relationships allow vendors to successfully compete with the internal leasing departments of even the largest competitors.

The Management
Jim Blumberg is the President of MIJ Associates, LLC. His responsibilities include oversight of the general operations and direct management of lender, marketing, and client relations.
Upon completing his military obligation with the US Navy during the time of the Vietnam campaign, Mr. Blumberg received his honorable discharge in 1969. His initial employment after the military was in the banking industry with Bell Savings & Loan in Philadelphia, PA. After obtaining a basic understanding of the banking business, he decided to consider opportunities in the rapidly growing technology field. Mr. Blumberg began his career in the equipment sales and service industry with the 3M Company in Wilmington DE, in 1971. With the help of 3M Company‘s night school tuition assistance program and the Veteran Administration's GI Bill, he was able to graduate from Lyons Technical Institute, in June of 1978. After leaving 3M in 1985 he joined the sales team for the largest independent dealer of Canon office equipment, in New Jersey. While working closely with Citi Lease Inc., in a captive relationship, numerous sales goals were obtained. After much success, a promotion to Director of Technical Operations was achieved in 1986.

In 1988 he entered the mailing and shipping equipment industry as a district sales manager with International Mailing Systems Inc of Shelton, CT. The company offered the highest quality postal and mail room products. They provided this equipment through a variety of sales, rental, and lease programs, in cooperation with IMS Leasing Inc. During the following six years, regional and national sales and leasing experience was obtained with IMS, Ascom Hasler, Micro General Corp. and AOE Ricoh Corp. As all these companies stressed leasing as the primary sales tool, it became obvious that the knowledge and training received, had resulted in a strong foundation for a direct independent leasing operation. In 1994 MIJ Leasing was founded and it continues to serve clients through out the US and Canada.
